You were born for greatness; this assessment will help you choose the path that helps you realize that destiny. Together, EC-Council, University of Maryland’s Center for the Advanced Study of Language, and Haystack Solutions are excited to offer CyberQ Aptitude!

After years of arduous scientific testing, the team behind CyberQ Aptitude has designed an approach to aptitude testing that measures a series of 5 sections comprised of 14 Constructs, with one test per construct. CyberQ Aptitude is an online test that takes approximately three hours to complete.

Description

We measure the psychological capacity in the following areas:

  • Critical Thinking
  • Deliberate Action
  • Real-Time Action
  • Proactive Thinking
  • Reactive Thinking

Under each of these sections, CyberQ Aptitude will measure items like Visuospatial working memory, Rule Induction, Pattern Recognition and scanning, creativity, Anomaly Detection, and Need for Closure to name a few of the 14 constructs.

As you complete each assessment in the list, you will have access to results that map your aptitude with markers for high performance in cyber job roles.

Please note that you will only get to work on 3 tasks with your free trial of CyberQ Aptitude. For full access, please click here.

Dynamic Systems Control

Cognitive Dimension: Critical Thinking

The Dynamic Systems Control (DSC) task measures the construct of complex problem solving, in the Critical Thinking construct category. Complex problem solving represents the ability to learn and effectively manipulate systems which are complex, opaque, and dynamic. DSC specifically assesses this ability by having examinees learn the rules of a complex, dynamic system, and then use these rules to manipulate the system into a specific state.
