The Most Robust
The MasterClass Penetration Tester program includes two courses and two certifications:
- Students will attend the live EC-Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA) Pen-Test Course which will teach a structured, methodological approach on how to use the tools taught in the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) course in a real world pen test scenario.
- The Advanced Penetration Tester (APT) course will be given to each student via EC-Council’s online, self-paced streaming video program. In the APT, students will continue to utilize the pen-test methodologies on live cyber ranges, but in the APT, the ranges progress in difficulty and there defenses to defeat and challenges to overcome.
- The Capstone of the MasterClass Penetration Tester program is EC-Council’s 18 hour License Penetration Tester (LPT) exam. EC-Council’s 18 hour live, License Penetration Tester exam.
The Most Cyber Ranges
In the ECSA Course students will be working on cyber ranges that will give access to live cyber ranges.
Students will also be given the ECSA Practical Exam which is online, proctored and consists of two challenge levels, each one provides six hours for the contestant to complete the requirements which provides 12 hours of advanced targets and ranges.
In the APT course students will be challenging four cyber ranges.
The LPT exam is the ultimate cyber range and consists of three progressive ranges with a maximum time of six hours for each range and three challenges for a total of eight different challenges with the requirement of passing at least one challenge to progress to the next level and to complete five of the nine challenges to pass this rigorous qualification.

The ECSA program offers seamless learning progress continuing where the CEH program left off. The new ECSAv10 includes updated curricula and an industry-recognized comprehensive step-by-step penetration testing methodology. This allows a learner to elevate their ability in applying new skills learned through intensive practical labs and challenges.
Unlike most other pen testing programs that only follow a generic kill chain methodology; the ECSA presents a set of distinguishable comprehensive methodologies that are able to cover different pentesting requirements across different verticals.
It is a highly interactive, comprehensive, standards-based, intensive 5-days training program that teaches information security professionals how professional real-life penetration testing is conducted. Building on the knowledge, skills, and abilities covered in the new CEH v10 program, we have simultaneously re-engineered the ECSA program as a progression from the former.
Organizations today demand a professional level pentesting program and not just pentesting programs that provide training on how to hack through applications and networks.
Such professional-level programs can only be achieved when the core of the curricula maps with and is compliant to government and/or industry published pentesting frameworks. This course is a part of the VAPT Track of EC-Council. This is a “Professional” level course, with the Certified Ethical Hacker being the “Core” and the Licensed Penetration Tester being the “Master” level certification.
In the new ECSAv10 course, students that pass the knowledge exam are given an option to pursue a fully practical exam that provides an avenue for them to test their skills, earning them the ECSA (Practical) credential. This new credential allows employers to validate easily the skills of the student.

About the ECSA Practical
ECSA (Practical) is a rigorous practical exam that can take up to 12 hours. ECSA (Practical) presents you with a simulated organization and its underlying networks, each containing multiple hosts.
Students are required to demonstrate the application of penetration testing methodology presented in the ECSA program by performing a comprehensive security audit of an organization. Challenges will require students to perform advanced network scans beyond perimeter defenses, leading to automated and manual vulnerability analysis, exploit selection, customization, launch and post exploitation maneuvers.
This program is meticulously designed to demonstrate the advanced concepts including that of scanning against defenses, pivoting between networks, deploying proxy chains and using web shells.
The “virtual cyber ranges” bring 100% practicality into the training session and are designed to provide professional skills that demonstrate how professional pen-testers determine the attack surface of targets within required time frames and complexities and gain access to the machines and escalate privileges.
The practical environment ranges progress in difficulty and reflect enterprise network architectures. This environment includes defenses and challenges which candidates of the LPT program must defeat and overcome. This is not done through a typical FLAT network!
As candidates progress through the various range levels, each encounter will present the top defenses of today and they will learn the latest best practices, tips and tricks, and even evasion techniques.
Throughout the APT you will learn different scripting techniques for Bash, Perl, Python and Ruby so that you can develop and design your own tools!
This training format has built thousands of penetration testers globally and is proven to be effective!
This completely hands-on exam offers a challenge like no other by simulating a complex network of a multinational organization in real time. This experience will test your perseverance and focus by forcing you to outdo yourself with each new challenge.
The LPT (Master) is the world’s first fully online, remotely proctored LPT (Master) practical exam, which challenges the candidates through a grueling 18 hours of performance based, hands-on exam categorized into three practical exams for six-hour duration each. The exam requires that candidates demonstrate a methodical approach to test and validate security defenses. The LPT exam is developed with close collaboration with SMEs and practitioners around the world after a thorough job role, job task, and skills-gap analysis.
You will be presented with a complex network of a simulated multi-national organization with several militarized and Demilitarized zones and will be asked to perform a near real-life black-box penetration testing. The LPT Master exam requires you to demonstrate mastery over advanced penetration testing techniques including exploit writing, LFI, RFI, proxy chaining, multi-layered pivoting.
About the Cybersecurity Meet Up Networking Event
EC-Council will host a live meet up the Wednesday evening of the course. The Meet up will be kicked off with a demo presentation given by the instructor and/or a local industry leader. Cybersecurity professionals from all over the region will be invited to network with industry professionals.
