Air Force COOL
Enlisted members of the Active Duty Air Force, Air Force Reserve (AFRES), and Air National Guard (ANG) on qualifying Title 10 or Title 32 orders are eligible for the Air Force Credentialing Opportunities On-Line (AF COOL) program. Air Force COOL will pay for both related and non-related AFCS’s.
Eligibility Requirements
To participate and receive funding (up to $4,500 per lifetime), members must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Skill Level: Possess a 5-skill level in their Primary Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC).
- Good Standing: Have no Unfavorable Information File (UIF), not be on a Control Roster, and be current on their most recent fitness test.
- Status: Maintain an active-duty or qualifying active status (Title 10/32) through the entire completion of the credential.
- Approval: Have an approved credentialing goal in the Air Force Virtual Education Center (AFVEC) and secure supervisor approval

Paying Out of Pocket/Exam Reimbursement
Airmen who are considering paying out of pocket for certifications can inquire about Military discounts/scholarships. The below certifications, excluding CTIA, are eligible for exam reimbursement using GI Bill benefits.

Airmen looking to pursue a college degree from a nationally accredited institution can inquire about degree/graduate certificate programs from at ECCU.
