Marine Corps COOL

While Marine Corps COOL does not fund full training programs, approved exam vouchers are funded for Active-Duty & Reserve Marines. EC-Council believes in providing high quality cybersecurity training to military members who want to take advantage of their military benefits. Because full training courses cannot be funded through Marine Corps COOL, EC-Council offers the training course at a discounted military rate.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Service Status: Must be on Active Duty, Active Reserve, or a Reservist with at least 180 days remaining on your contract or active-duty orders.
  • MOS Alignment: Must be in your enlisted Primary MOS (PMOS), possess a previous PMOS mapped to the credential, or hold a rank of E-4 or above for LEADER credentials.
  • Collateral Duties: Must have formal training and provide proof of training for credentials listed under collateral duties or other assigned billets.

Cyber Coded Officer Requirements

  • Attempts & Role: Cyber-coded officers are allowed 3 funded attempts and must currently perform in a designated cyberspace work role.
  • Approval: Funding requests require a signature from the Cyber Workforce Program Manager or Information System Security Manager (ISSM)

Paying Out of Pocket/Exam Reimbursement

Airmen who are considering paying out of pocket for certifications can inquire about Military discounts/scholarships. The below certifications, excluding CTIA, are eligible for exam reimbursement using GI Bill benefits.

EC-Council University (ECCU)

Soldiers looking to pursue a college degree from a nationally accredited institution can inquire about degree/graduate certificate programs from at ECCU.

What We Offer:
  • Bachelors of Science in Cybersecurity *This is a 2 year program and requires 60 transfer credits to for enrolment eligibility.
